Walter William Brodzinski

Walter William Brodzinski, 84, of Wilmington, DE and formerly of Chester, PA died peacefully on September 3, 2017.

He was a graduate of St. James High School in Chester, PA. Walt started working immediately at Phoenix Steel in Claymont where he worked for 30 years before becoming Union President for local union 3182. He retired in 1987.

He loved to travel, golf and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially during the traditional Polish holidays.
Walt is survived by his wife, Norma Ann Searfass Brodzinski and their five children, Sharon Wilson (Frank), Patricia Brodzinski, Mark Brodzinski (Nancy), Steven Brodzinski (Christine), Christine Sowinski (Anthony); seven grandchildren, Mark, Megan, Brandun, Christopher, Cameron, Jack and Andrew and two great granddaughters, Lilly and Emma.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Holy Rosary Church.

Funeral Services

Friends may call at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington on Thursday September 14, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian.

Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Friday September 15, 2017 at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Burial will follow Mass in All Saints Cemetery.
