Sandra Elaine (Ford) Wolf, age 74, of Newark DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, July 1. She was born on August 4, 1942 in West Chester PA to the late Elwood ‘Hub’ and Gertrude (Gallagher) Ford. Sandra graduated from Alexis I. DuPont High School in 1960. Sandra was a loving mother and lifelong homemaker, who shared that love throughout her extended family. Her greatest joy and passion was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and dog Webster. She loved to spoil her grandchildren, shop, dining out with friends and family, and visiting Delaware Park. Over the years she enjoyed numerous family summers at the beach, especially enjoying the boardwalk. Having grown up in Hockessin, she enjoyed her visits to Hockessin to rekindle the memories of her youth. The annual 4th of July parade with her sisters Marlene, Joan and Eileen was one of her favorites.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas, twin brother Ronald and sister Joan Ford. She is survived by her sister Marlene (and Jon) Ludvigson, sister-in-law Eileen (to the late Thomas) Ford, high school sweetheart and loving husband of 55 years, Barry; her children, Thomas Wolf, Lisa (and John) Steenkamer, Tammy Watson, Barry (and Chrissy) Wolf; her grandchildren, Shane, Cortney, Jagger and Barry Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
