Rosemary Sheehy

Rosemary Reilly Sheehy, 98, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on October 16, 2023.

Devoted wife of the late Lt. Cmdr. Edward Joseph Sheehy USN, Rosemary was the mother of 10 children, with 31 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.  Forever a New Yorker, she lived the life of a Navy spouse, helping to raise her children while her husband was at sea and making a home for her family wherever they found themselves.

As befitting a Navy wife, Rosemary will be laid to rest in a private service next to her husband of 62 years on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.

Thank you for teaching us to look at the world with humor and hope.  We will forever miss you, our beloved moth
