Ronald J. Raftovich

Ronald “Ron” J. Raftovich, age 77, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024, at his home. Beloved by his family and friends, he was a devoted father and grandfather, and a true friend to many. He loved to tell jokes and recount his stories from his travels around the world.

Ron was born in 1947 in Chester, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Navy then graduated from Pennsylvania State University. He was a true Penn Stater.

He is survived by his children, Samantha Raftovich (m. Al Feeley, Jr.), Wilmington DE, and Andrew (m. Alyssa) and their two grandsons who he loved dearly, Austin and Ayden, of Chadds Ford, PA. He is predeceased by his wife, Christine, his parents, Frank and Helen, brother Frank, and sister Shirley.

Funeral Services

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 7 Sharpley Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803. The service will be preceded by a visitation that will begin at 10:00 am and run until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
