Roberta Ann Carlton

Roberta Ann Carlton, of Foulk Manor South, went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2018 at the age of 86. Her children were with her at the time.

Roberta was born in Huron, South Dakota to the late William and Bird Camp. She graduated from Hammond High School in Hammond, Indiana in 1949 and was married to Robert Carlton in September of 1953. She lived with Robert in Charleston, WV, Wilmington, DE, Houston, TX, Austin, TX and Pace, FL before settling in Garnet Valley, PA with a final move to Delaware for the last two years. She had been active in the Delaware Red Cross and was chairwoman of the all state volunteers during 1980-1984 and was Secretary and President of the Newcomers Club of Greater Pensacola in 1997 and 1998.

Roberta was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her daughters Laura Nichols and Nancy Surma, sons Edward Carlton (Paola) and William Carlton, granddaughters Krystal Carlton, Amber Carlton, Rachel Nichols, Sophia Carlton and Stephanie Surma, grandson Robert R. Carlton, great grandchildren, Aurora and Avery Watts as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 at 5:00 pm on Saturday August 25, 2018 where friends may visit beginning at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.

Visitation at Chandler Funeral Home on Saturday August 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm

A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 pm.
