Robert “Bobby G” Gulezian, passed away at home on July 7, 2022, at the age of 88 from a long battle with Carcinoid cancer.

Robert loved Phillies baseball and Duke Blue Devils basketball.  One of his true passions was the game of softball.  “Bobby G” played over 3,000 softball games during his career, which ended when he put his bat to rest at the age of 81.

Dad loved to coach softball and basketball.  He was never more proud to have been the coach of the St. Gregory’s Armenian basketball team, the CYAA girls’ softball team and the girls’ softball team at Our Lady of Fatima.  “Bobby G” also coached a basketball team for Special Olympics Delaware with his daughter, Dawn, winning a Silver, and 3 Gold Medals.

I played softball with and against Bobby for years. Great guy!! I totally respected him as both a player and a human being. We won a Senior Softball WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in 2005 and have the gold rings to prove it. God bless his family and comfort them at this sad time.
