Robert D. Forrester, age 69, passed away peacefully at his home on April 14, 2025, in Wilmington, DE.

Robert attended Alexis I. DuPont High School before building a career as a fiberglass fabricating supervisor for the Spatz Fiberglass Company. He had a deep fondness for hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. His dog, Ruby, held a very special place in his heart.

Robert is predeceased by his parents, Wallace J. Forrester and Shirley N. Dillinger Forrester.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. He will be dearly missed by his children including his son, James Boring (Patricia Clancy), his daughter, Jennifer Dodson (Bruce Dodson), his daughter, Joann Forrester (Brian Stackhouse), and his beloved grandchildren, Samantha, Meredith, Jace, and Jordan. He is additionally survived by his sister, Wanda Forrester. His many friends and loved ones will remember him with joy and cherish his memory.

Services for Robert will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Chandler Funeral Home in Hockessin, DE. A visitation will begin at 1:00p with a service to follow at 2:00p. Interment will be held privately.
