With heavy hearts we say good-bye to Rhoda J. Mull. Rhoda was living with Primary Lateral Sclerosis, a very rare form of ALS, Lou Gehrigs disease. Her battle ended Monday, July 16 at the age of 58.
Rhoda was the daughter of Edna M. Mull and the late late Kenneth A. Mull. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Spickler, Kenneth Mull, Anna Gerz (Barry), Ruth Reichard and David Mull; nieces and nephews, Karona, Kenneth, Karen, Tracy, Kenneth, Kristina, Barry, Ryan, Jeremy, Kurtis, Kendra and Kevin; and many great nieces and nephews.
Rhoda graduated from Garden Spot High School. She attended Millersville University and earned a degree in Psychology. Rhoda graduated from the Oklahoma City University School of Law with a Doctorate in Law. She loved being a Lawyer, and spent several years working at Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals.
Rhoda spent many of her days in a relentless pursuit for a cure for ALS. She held fundraisers and gave of her time to connect with government officials in an effort to keep the funding coming for research and assistance for ALS patients in need.
For the last 8 years Rhoda resided in the Chadds Ford area. As her disease started, she decided to build her dream home. She resided in her beautiful carriage house until her death.
Our family would like to thank Rhoda’s many caregivers, especially Donna, Hannah and Mary. We would also like to thank her dear friend, Lindy. Thank-you for working tirelessly on Rhoda’s behalf.
Memorial service will be held from the Groff-High-Eckenroth Funeral Home, 145 W. Main Street, New Holland, PA on Sunday July 29, 2018 at 2 pm. If you wish to honor Rhoda’s memory, please contribute to the Greater Philadelphia ALS Chapter on their webiste, www.alsphiladelphia.org.
