    Mary T Welch writes,
I have many fond memories of meeting Paul many years ago in the first grade at Christ Our King School. Paul was a good student who participated in many of the school programs like the CYO. We reconnected at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish where he, his wife Cathy and family were parishioners. More recently, I would see Paul attend Adoration at our chapel as would his wife, Cathy. At times we were able to chat and what struck me most about Paul and Cathy was their strong Catholic faith. Please accept my deepest sympathy with Paul's passing and know that I will keep the repose of his soul in my prayers as well as you, Cathy, and your family. May God bless and strengthen you during this difficult time. With love, Maryn Newell Welch

All that has been said about Paul is true. Smart fellow. I and a few other guys shared a house with Paul. He eagerly took his turn cooking. He was the best. He loved to play poker. Our late night games (after a full day of research, of course), with a brew or two, are a great memory. Paul was the captain of our team in the Grad School League for both basketball and softball. On the court he worked the inside and sharpshooter, Dan, played outside. All I needed to do was make a choice of who to pass the ball to. I don’t remember losing a game in either sport.

To Cathy, Michele, Mark, and Judy: Judy's phone call with the news of Paul's death brought back a rush of memories of your family. Cathy and I worked together at the DuPont Experimental Station (Ag Products), and I always enjoyed hearing her family news. I remember well Paul's assignment to Puerto Rico and Cathy's and my trip there. I join Br. Ronald in thanking you for remembering Paul's life by caring for the poor through the Ministry of Caring. Please know that you are remembered in not only my prayers but in the prayers of many at the Ministry of Caring. My heartfelt sympathy. Priscilla
