In loving memory…. Nancy Marie Weigel, 68, of Landenberg, Pennsylvania passed away at her home with family on April 18th, 2024 after a rapid progression of brain cancer.
Born in New York City to Carol and Bill Seward, she was one of nine children (William Seward, Martha Adams, Robert Seward, Becky Seward, Pete Seward, Mary Nelson, Chris Seward, Polly Eoloff). She demonstrated her creativity and passion from an early age creating numerous artistic goods which she sold to local stores or gifted to friends and family.
After graduating from Western Michigan University, Nancy moved to Houston where she met Charles, her husband to be. They embarked on what would be a lifetime of adventures full of love, strength, and a strong dose of humor. They formed a true partnership that withstood whatever trials and tribulations they faced during their 42 years of marriage.
Her creativity, ambition, and adventurous energy were an inspiration to her family and infectious to those around her. If she was not traveling, she was always on the lookout for the next adventure. She traveled to each of the 50 states and to five of the seven continents. She found joy in experiencing what the world had to offer, be that riding camels in Dubai, knocking on the US Embassy door in Budapest, visiting pandas in China, or staying closer to home and RVing around the local area.
She will always be known as “Nana” to her family as she was a devoted and loving grandmother to Annabelle and Lucas. She provided them with love, support, and countless experiences. She truly loved and appreciated her time with them, which was evident to all who had the privilege of seeing them together.
She is survived by her husband (Charles Weigel), her children (Courtney Yager and Christopher Weigel) and their families; who will always remember her feisty spirit, fierce loyalty, and boundless love.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 at: Somerset Lake Clubhouse, 1 West Clubhouse Drive, Landenberg, PA. 19350.
In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you consider a donation to one of the following groups which brought light and happiness to her life by providing her with irreplaceable memories with her grandchildren and fur babies.
