Mary Jewel Nacchio McKnitt

Mary Jewel Nacchio McKnitt, age 82, of Clayton, Delaware, sadly passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 to be with the Lord.

Mary was born in 1941 in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late James Nacchio and Katherine Strozier Nacchio.

Mary was a hard working Independent Entrepreneur. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching game shows that helped flex her brain muscles and Bible study where she always had faith in the Lord. Mary loved animals, especially birds. She also enjoyed spending time being lucky at the slots. She was always willing to help someone in need.

She was kind, funny and very intelligent. Mary was one of a kind and left an impression on all who met her.

Mary is predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Benton; brothers Carmen and Virgil Nacchio; and her sister Kathy McCoy.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Stewart; her grandson Joshua Stewart; her great-granddaughter Payton Stewart; a Niece, Cindy McCombs (Jeff); and several close friends of many years.
