We met Marty since about June, 2023. We went to his home because his wife Yoyo taught our daughter arts in private lessons. Our daughter has special needs. We were surprised that Marty was so interested in our daughter’s education and he was very friendly to our daughter. Marty assisted Yoyo in her art lessons. Marty adored my daughter. I feel Marty especially liked kids in general. We were later amazed by Marty’s courage and calmness facing the most difficult challenges of life. He stayed positive and was determined to fight. He was mentally strong and loving. He still came to my daughter’s 5K to see her in this May 2024. Marty’s leaving left a hole in our heart since rarely someone can be as kind and as interested in unfamiliar kids as him. Marty will be missed by our family and his family, friends and students, and many others who happened to know him.
