Kathleen Carroll Linarducci, 67, of Greenville, Delaware passed away on January 17, 2018. She was comforted in her final days by her family, and the many friends and Christiana Care co-workers who visited her.
Kathy grew up at the Jersey Shore. She was the oldest of six children of Ralph (Ray) and Margaret (Peg) Reynolds, who preceded her in death. She is survived by Gary, her husband of 41 years: their children Patrick Joseph “PJ” (Katherine) of Menlo Park, CA, and Nina Linarducci Cowles (Ryan), of Avondale, PA. Kathy was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren, Carter, Hadley and Riley Linarducci, and Landon and Grace Cowles. Kathy also is survived by her brothers, Rick (Tammy) of Tuckerton, NJ; Michael (Helen) and Mark (Peg) both of Cedar Run, NJ; her sisters, Joyce Reynolds Joyce (Patrick) of Morrison, CO, and Donna Reynolds Lotierzo (John) of Marlton, NJ. Also surviving Kathy are her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Eileen Linarducci of South Orange, NJ. In addition, Kathy was an aunt and great-aunt to many beautiful nieces and nephews.
Like all the Reynolds children growing up, Kathy worked at Carroll’s, her family’s restaurant in Manahawkin. She graduated from Southern Regional High School in Stafford Township, NJ, and earned a degree in microbiology at Farleigh Dickinson University where she met Gary. Upon graduation they moved to Wilmington and began their life together. During her 40+ years in the Christiana Care Health System, Kathy supervised the Microbiology Lab and later led the Clinical Information Analyst team.
Kathy spent her childhood on the beaches of Long Beach Island. As a beach lover she continued to enjoy her vacation home in Bethany and looked forward to winter vacations in Jamaica. Kathy also loved tennis, and played competitively. Kathy enjoyed entertaining her family and friends and was talented in the decorative arts. Kathy was a dedicated community volunteer as well as a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Wilmington, and Past President of the Board of Directors of Delaware Curative.
Kathy had many great friends who will miss her. Please join us for a memorial mass on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Ann’s Church, Gilpin Avenue and Union Street in Wilmington, Delaware. Internment will be private.
