Johnny Eugene Friendly

Johnny Eugene Friendly, 65, of Wilmington, Delaware and formerly of Garner, North Carolina died on November 6, 2022.

He was a graduate of Garner Sr. High School. He served in the Navy, working on a ship in Norfolk, VA. Later, he was an insurance underwriter for AIG. He enjoyed memberships with Black Tie & Jeans, Lot Cats, Inc., and the Antique Car Club.

Johnny is survived by his mother, Betty G. Friendly of Newport, NC, twin sister Lillian Irene Leighton (Gerald) of Newport, NC, niece Sabrina Adams (Stephen) of Cape Carteret, NC, nephew Shaun Troy Guy of Liberty, NC, great nieces, Adeline Adams and Madelyn Mosely and great nephews, Matthew Moseley of Valdosta, GA, Carson James of Greensboro, NC and Leland Guy of Corpus Christi, TX.

Funeral Services

A memorial service will be held at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington DE 19803 on Saturday November 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm.  Johnny will be buried at sea at a later date.

    Dear Johnny, what happened buddy? We were going to cash-in, buy a Winnebago and go in search of America. You were going to do all of the driving, I was going to pick all of the music and let you know if you were going to fast or following to closely. We've held hands through all of life's challenges, I'm going to miss you forever. Rest in peace my Brother.
