Dear Helen, If you read this, please get in touch with us as we'd love to see you! John was my best squash pal! For as long as the WRC existed, we played at least once a week year round. I loved playing with John (whether squash or tennis)---he was competitive and tenacious on the court, but he played fair and square---no boasting (well, perhaps a little) when he beat me, and no whioning when I managed to prevail once in a while...always a gentleman in every sense of the word...I loved his story of competing in lacrosse against the famed Jim Brown when Colgate played Syracuse...I can still see it 155 pound John whacking the stick of 230 pound Jim Brown, stealing the ball, and slipping one past the Syracuse net minder (at least that's the way I imagine it). I loved John Page!!! Love to you, Helen, John, Charlie, and Ricky P.

    Willa Simpson Hawk writes,
Our father, George Frederick Simpson, his wife Helen, plus we three children visited John's parent's house every Thanksgiving for a sumptuous meal. John was several years older than me and my siblings. He was usually engaged in a football game or another pursuit, so we only got a small snapshot of his personality. Our family reciprocated the Pages hospitality by hosting them at Easter time. The Page children were always hyped up to be coming to the Jersey shore in the town of Seabright. Usually, the weather was too cold to really enjoy the beach. I remember a time when John was in our town, Rumson, and he kindly played a little basketball we me in our backyard. John seemed like a person on the go, and I see from his biography that he had a full life. Condolences to his family and friends. I can see he will be missed.
