Joanne Hambleton, age 72, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Christiana Hospital in Newark.
She was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late John and Frances Fierro Albanese. She attended St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School and graduated from the Brandywine High School.
Joanne dedicated her life to raising her family, while also serving as a ceramic arts teacher. Her passions included traveling, various games of chance, and spending as much time as she could with her loved ones.
Joanne is survived by her husband William B. Hambleton Jr., her son, William B. Hambleton III both of Wilmington, DE, as well as her brothers; John N. Albanese Jr. of Longneck, DE, James Albanese of Wilmington, DE, and sister Kathleen Wilson of Wilmington, DE.
A private interment will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joanne’s memory may be made to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
