Words cannot express Joan kindness and thoughtfulness of others. Sometimes I would forget my wallet at home. I would tell Joan and she would give me whatever I needed. Everyday I would tell Joani which I call her to have a safe trip home after work not knowing she be gone. Joani you will be love forever and not forgotten.

I did not know Joan personally. I would speak to her on the phone for orders or see her when in yard to pick up material. She was always happy. When days were long and stressful, hearing her tone and happy voice always made my day a little brighter. Rest In Peace Joan. Heaven got a special gift.

It’s hard to believe that one month has already passed. Covering her window to the world has been so heartwarming. Still last week folks were becoming aware for the first time. I only wish I could have recorded the words and sentiments for Joan’s family. Of course they know how wonderful she was. She was a true ray of sunshine for each of hundreds of transactions that took place at her window. One gentleman asked where “mom mom” was. As I handed him a copy of the obituary and watched his eyes well, my heart broke for the loss to all, As another driver shared the story of her white wine earrings, I was blessed as I could share. I had found those earrings in a gift catalog back when Amazon was books and music only. She wore them regularly on Fridays. Tomorrow (May 20) I begin training a new hire to eventually take over Joan’s window. She certainly has huge shoes to fill, I will mourn as I pack up what remains of her personal items tomorrow morning. Joan I will miss you as long as I am still here! My memories of times we spent together will always bring a smile to my face. God Bless us all. Bonni
