I have many fond memories of Jeff and Scott at Radley Run. My Dad was the swim team coach for many years so I spent many summer days at the Radley Run pool. It was fun to watch Jeff and Scott at the swim meets. They usually won. I was saddened to hear of Jeff’s passing. I am sending my condolences to all of Jeff’s family and friends. RIP Jeff. Debra J. Upon my graduation from Culinary School, Jeff gave me the opportunity to work at LaCocotte, which was so much more than just an employment opportunity. Jeff taught me more than I ever learned in Culinary school. He was a difficult person to work for, he was firm but fair. When you did a good job he would let you know, and when you did a poor job he would really let you know. Jeff believed that people can go out to eat anywhere, but we gave them a reason to come to LaCocotte, every task needed to be approached with enthusiasm and to be performed to the very best of our abilities, and that our guests deserved nothing less. He once said, “Being a Chef is so much more than just running the kitchen and cooking the food, it’s a truly noble and thankless profession, it’s about bringing people together, taking time away from their daily struggles to come up for air and enjoy life, and they come here because of what we can put on a plate.” Something only those who shed their blood, sweat, and tears working in kitchens will truly understand. Rest In Peace Chef.

    Ken Fecteau writes,
My deepest sympathy to Jeff’s family. My mother was a Lonsdale. She and Jeff’s Dad were first cousins. Although I never met Jeff in person we did communicate with each other through emails about Lonsdale genealogy. He was kind to send some old pictures of his grandfather’s family when he was I believe the baby of the family surrounded by all of our great aunts and by my grandfather as older siblings from around 1900. Many years later Clarence Lonsdale, Jeff’s grandfather attended my wedding in Rhode Island. I know generations come and go but I was surprised to see Jeff’s obituary on line . Rest In Peace cousin Jeff. God Bless.
