Jeannette Bauernfreund, age 86, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Christiana Hospital in Newark.
Jeannette was born in Wilmington, Delaware daughter of the late Louis Feldman and Reba Luskin Feldman. She graduated from Wilmington High School and worked as a sales representative at Sears in Wilmington.
Jeannette was beloved by her friends and family and she cherished them greatly. She loved animals and absolutely cherished Ellie, her Maltese. She affectionately referred to Debra’s cat, Pearl, and Ken’s two parrots, Bean and Sprout, as her grandkids. She loved to talk – and my oh my could she talk. She had some favorite TV shows that she often binge-watched, the most recent being Yellowstone. She had an especially close relationship with her son Ken, despite him living across the country. The two of them would FaceTime each other multiple times a day. Often she would ask Ken point the phone at his parrots, Bean and Sprout, so she could see what they were up to. She would also ask to see Pearl when speaking with Debra and her husband Ron.
Jeannette is predeceased by her husband Gary Bauernfreund. She is survived by her son, Ken Bauernfreund of Kirkland, Washington and her daughter and her husband, Debra and Ron Wolff, of Edgewater, Maryland.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00 am at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Interment will follow at Beth Emeth Memorial Park, Wilmington, Delaware.
Memorial contributions in Jeannette’s memory may be made to the charity if your choice.
