I am so saddened to hear of Jean’s passing. She was a good friend for so many years as we rang handbells together and shared years in the Altar Guild. I always loved our time spent together as Jean was so much fun to be around. Sadly we are in Florida until the end of March and will miss the memorial service for her at Aldersgate Church. I hope she is finally at peace after many years of illness. Dana, I know your family and friends will surround you with much needed love and support at this difficult time. Sincerely, Mary Cooper

I will always remember, with gratitude, the organ lessons you gave my daughter, not only for fostering her love of music, but more importantly, for giving her the self confidence she needed. I truly credit you for the sense of self worth she has today! You did so much more for her than just teach music!

Dear dear Mrs. Pyle. Both of my children took lessons with her and played at her recitals. She was a wonderful teacher, a lovely human being, and a delight to sit and chat with. My son still plays, including guitar and drums now too. God bless Jean.

I was fortunate to have Mrs. Pyle as a piano teacher for several years and attended high school with her daughter Valerie. I can remember riding my bike to her house to take lessons and viewing the amazing small miniature houses that Mr. Pyle had on display. She indulged me as a teacher, even though I was probably the worst piano student she taught. She was always encouraging and taught me an appreciation for music that I still carry today, even though I had zero talent to play. I would look forward to the lessons each week, just hoping that I would see Valerie because she was as nice and charming as Mrs. Pyle. My condolences to her family and friends, she was an inspiration and will be sorely missed but will live one through all of our collective memories. Thank you from one of your former students.
