Jane Zdun, age 94, of Landenberg, PA, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024 at Brandywine Living at Longwood in Kennett Square, PA.
Jane was born in January of 1930 and she lived in a family home filled with activity, love, and lots of visitors. Formerly of Trainer, PA, she was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1948. Her careers spanned several industries including time spent working at Phoenix Steel, Scott Paper, and then finally the city of Chester before she retired.
Jane was an active member of many organizations including the Trainer Senior Club, the St. John Fisher Senior and Bingo Club, and St. Hedwig’s Senior Club of Chester, PA. Always proud of her Polish ancestry, Jane was also a member of the Polish American Heritage Association. She was also an active and devoted member of St. Hedwig’s parish. Jane, her husband Joe, and her best friend, Reggie were always on the go. She traveled to Poland where she reveled in celebrating her traditional Polish heritage. In later years, she was known by family, friends, and even extended friends, as “Aunt Jane.”
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph A. Zdun in 2005 as well as two nieces. She is survived by 17 loving nieces and nephews located from coast to coast. Each one was her “favorite.” She was the glue that held the family together.
Jane’s family extend their gratitude to the staff and other residents at Brandywine Living at Longwood for their care and friendship over the past 15 months. They also appreciate the care and compassion of Holistic Hospice over the last several months keeping Jane in good health and comfort.
