James Knox

James F. Knox, age 86, of Wilmingon, DE and formerly of Milltown, NJ, passed away on October 30, 2021.

James grew up in Milltown, NJ and was a 1953 graduate of New Brunswick High School. He served in the New Jersey National Guard and the United States Air Force. He worked as a machinist for Johns Manville, The Personal Products Company, and Milltown Public Works. He was a member of the Milltown Fire Department. WA-XO-BE Archers, the Happy Hour Rod and Gun Club, and the First Presbyterian Church of Sayreville. James enjoyed trips to Disney world with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Yoko Knox of Wilmington, DE; sons: Edward (Raelen) of Hockessin, DE, Andrew of Hillsboro, NJ, and Kenneth (Laureen) of West Chester, PA; Brother-in-Law Toshio Sawada (Leslie Jo) of Berkley, CA; and Grandchildren: Kevin Knox (Amanda) of West Chester, PA, Parker Knox (Courtney) of Townsend, DE, Alyssa Wilson (Chas) of West Chester, PA, Pierce Knox of Hockessin, DE, and Dylan and Nolan Knox both currently with the US Army.

Services will be announced at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations in James’ name can be made to the Milltown Fire Department at 50 Washington Ave. Milltown, NJ 08850

    The Knox Family Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss. I remember your Dad as a very kind person. He always made me feel like part of the family every time I saw him. He was funny and made me smile. Even though it's been a while since the last time I saw him I always remember the kindness he would show me.
