Howard B. Halverson

Howard Barton Halverson, age 77, of Earleville, MD., passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at his home with his loving family surrounding him.

Howard was born in Wilmington, DE., son of the late Donald Halverson and Marie Hepner Halverson. He was a welder for Local Union 420. He enjoyed spending time with his family in the mountains in Shinglehouse, PA. Some of his favorite activities were boating, fishing, archery and gatherings with his friends and family.

Howard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan M. Halverson, his daughter Denise Anderson (Ron) of Bear, Delaware, his son Howard Halverson, Jr. (Pam) of Newark, Delaware, his brothers; Donald Halverson (Dorothy) of Newport, Delaware and Dave Halverson (Nancy) of Pennsgrove, New Jersey, his sister Shirl Harmer (Earl) of Pennsylvania, his grandchildren; Howard Halverson III, Kelly Halverson (Mike), Danielle Boyle (Zachery), Mike Anderson, Courtney Sanders, Stephen Abbott, his great-grandchildren Faith and Brook Haines.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware 19803. A graveside service will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. duPont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.

Funeral Services
