Herbert Charles “Chuck” Phillips

Herbert Charles “Chuck” Phillips, 66, of Newark, DE passed away at home on September, 24, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Born in 1957 to parents Richard and Lois, Chuck grew up in Wilmington, DE. He would go on to graduate from Concord High School as a member of the class of 1976. Chuck spent many years working as a carpenter.

Chuck is remembered for his numerous hobbies including HO Scale model trains, remote control cars and helicopters and building model rockets. He was also a passionate sports fan, always cheering for his Philadelphia teams, especially the Eagles, Phillies and Union, as well as NASCAR.

Chuck is predeceased by his parents Richard and Lois. He is survived by his sisters Carol Phillips (Larry Mitchell) of Newark, DE, Nancy Moore and Penny Lindell (Mary McDowell) of Wilmington, DE; his brother John Stucker (Marcie Tauber) of Wilmington, DE; and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck’s family requests any memorial contributions in his name to be sent to Humane Animal Partners, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

    I remember Chuck as a kind soft spoken man. He showed how much family meant to him by traveling to Buffalo many times for family gatherings with his uncle Georges family. He will be greatly missed but remembered fondly and lovingly. From Sue Phillips
