At the age 99 ¾ Helen Elizabeth Zinck Angulo, formerly of Wilmington, DE, died on January 9, 2025 at Cornwall Manor Retirement Home in Cornwall, PA. She married Walter John Angulo PhD, in 1951. They traveled the world and he was the love of her life. They attended Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, DE, until moving to Cornwall Manor Retirement Home in 2003. Walter died in 2004. Both Walter and Helen were of the “Greatest Generation”. Both were born and raised in Baltimore, MD. Helen, after graduating from high school, worked as a secretary during WW2. She then married, was a housewife, and raised 4 of the most fabulous, intelligent, outstanding, and humble kids. She volunteered in several capacities at the gift shop in Christiana Care Hospital for 15 years. In addition, she was head of the jewelry department at the Cornwall Manor Curiosity Shop. Helen was an active Bridge player and also known as a Bingo Champion at the Cornwall Health Center.
She is loved and survived by her 4 children; Jeffrey E. Angulo of somewhere on the water in the Carolinas; (wife Patricia T.), Carol A. Davidson (husband William, d.) of Hershey, PA; and Lewes, DE; Jane L. Angulo of Boulder, CO; and Karen J. Angulo of Appomattox, VA. She had 7 grandchildren – Philp A. Yatuzis, Amanda J. Fitzgerald, Christopher J. Angulo, (wife Jessica), Laura L.Yatuzis; Ryan M. Davidson (wife Liesel K.), Jennifer E. Davidson, Nathan W. Davidson (wife Caitlin P.). She also had 14 great-grandchildren: Michael T. .Fitzgerald, Gabriel W. Angulo, Isaiah C. Fitzgerald, Nathaniel M. Angulo, Ronan E. Angulo, Jacob E. Brown, Laci B. Brown; William J. Davidson, Alice C. Davidson, Gregor I. Davidson, Margaret E. Davidson, Amos M. Davidson, Ella J. Davidson, Walter W. Davidson.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Cornwall Manor Benevolent Fund, ℅ Cornwall Manor Advancement Office, Box 125, Cornwall, PA, 17016. Place “in memory of Helen Angulo” on the memo line.
