Elizabeth S. Dautel

Elizabeth S. “Betty” Dautel was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in September 1930 and passed away peacefully with her children at her side on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the age of 93.

Betty was the only child of Elizabeth (Wahl) and Harry Schade and graduated from Upper Darby High School in Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard W. Dautel, to whom she devoted her life to and has deeply missed since his passing in 2005.

She is survived by her children Richard W. Dautel Jr. (Kathy) and Robert Scott Dautel (Sharise). She treasured her three grandchildren Ashley Rossbach (Mike), Connor Dautel & Rachel Dautel, all of whom grew up very close to their “Nana” and loved visiting her beautiful home in Hockessin Delaware.

Betty and her husband were a life-long members of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bellefonte where she taught Sunday school for many years.

The Dautel family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the exceptional nurses and staff at Country House for the outstanding and loving care Betty has received over the past twelve years.

Funeral Services

In accordance with her wishes, in the coming weeks, a family memorial service will be held at Country House, preceded by burial at Lawncroft Cemetery.

Condolences

    Ciara Ciprian writes,
My sincere condolences go out to the family. Elizabeth was a good person. She will be a great loss to her family. You can find hope in the scriptures. Revelation 21:4 says that “God will wipe all tears from our faces and there will be no more suffering, pain,or death.”My prayer is that the family finds peace in the days to come.
