Elizabeth A. Moore

Elizabeth Moore passed away on January 6, 2025 at home. Liz was born and raised in Cortland, NY.  She worked for the Intermediate School cafeteria in Homer, NY and Joseph W. Small Assoc. in Wilmington, DE.  She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church.  She was a volunteer at Contact Delaware and St. Francis Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moore; parents Delmar H. Fisher and Elizabeth Mitchell Fisher Pashley; brother, Fred Fisher and sisters Jeri-lynn Buchanan and Sandra Vining Shaw. She was also predeceased by very special friends, Sue and Mike Morgan.  Liz is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Michael) Berger, her sons, Lynn Moore and Vincent (JoAnn) Moore; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Her sister-in-law, Roberta Fitzpatrick and her brother-in-law, Francis Moore.  Many nieces and nephews.

Donations in her memory may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 111 Continental Drive, Suite 407, Newark, DE 19713.

Funeral Services

    Such loving memories of Lizzy. She was always so kind and giving. I’m remembering visits to their home in Delaware and she and Chuckie would make the best meals. We’d have fun in their pool and great conversations. She will be missed for sure.

    Liz and Chuck were always the couple you could count on to show up for anniversaries, get togethers, birthdays or just showing up to gab..so many good times shared over the years..many laughs, many many good memories..and..as long as you have those memories then no one is truly gone..love you Liz!
