Eileen Rose Healy, age 95, passed away on August 26, 2018 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Wilmington, DE.
Mrs. Healy was born in Marcus Hook, PA to Albert and Anna McBride Oberg. She lived in Linwood, PA prior to moving to Wilmington where she resided for 50 years in Lancashire. For the last four and a half years, she resided at Sunrise Assisted Living where she was loved by her caregivers.
She was a homemaker and loved caring for her children. She also enjoyed listening to music.
Mrs. Healy was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, John E. Healy and son-in-law, Douglas B. Williams. She was survived by her children, Susan Williams of Avondale, PA, Mary Ann E. Mousley and her husband Allan of Wilmington, John E. Healy of Claymont, Patrick J. Healy of Claymont, Nancy Donnelly and her husband Butch of Wilmington, and Michael T. Healy of Claymont; six grandchildren, Jennifer Zurzolo, Heather Crumley, Stephanie Parry, Allan Mousely, Jr., Amber Healy and Matthew Smith; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Oberg of PA and John Oberg of NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on September 1, 2018 at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Wimington where visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will follow Mass in the church’s cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
