Ruth Crossan lit a candle and writes,
As a friend at Cokesbury Village, I found Edith to be a sophisticated, artistic, intelligent lady. We spent many times in her beautiful apartment, decorated with interesting articles found in foreign countries and excellent paintings by her of scenes of snow-capped mountains and tropical seascapes. I shall miss her in the Cafe at dinner time where she enjoyed my stories about the exotic places I had visited. She went very quickly and I am pleased she didn't have to suffer long. Rest in peace, Edith
