Dorothy Ellen Scheing

Dorothy Ellen Scheing, age 81, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Accent Hospice in Christiana Care Hospital.

Dorothy attended Delaware Day School for the Handicapped. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Colonna, and her husband Lance, with whom she lived. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Rosemary Shannon, her brother, Keith Hughes and his wife, Jennifer, her brother, Warren Hughes and his wife, Tina of Austin, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 11:00am at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 to 11:00 am.  Interment will be private at a later date in Lufkin, Texas.
