Diane D. Renzi

Diane D. Renzi, age 83 of Hockessin, Delaware formerly of Greenville, Delaware joined her Lord on Monday, April 24, 2023 at her home in Hockessin, Delaware.

Diane was born in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late William Duncan and Bertha Roney Duncan. She was a Conrad High School Class of 1958 graduate.

She began her professional career as an Executive Secretary to both the President and Vice President of All American Engineering.  She worked actively alongside her husband, Elmer, in their steel fabrication and erection companies, Accu-Metals Inc., Coastal Erectors Inc., and Franklin Fabricators Inc. until her retirement.

She was a parishioner at St. Mary of The Assumption Church in Hockessin, Delaware.  She was a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Karoll 1 Condominium Association.  She owned and operated a horse farm, El Dori Arabians, where she received notable recognition. She was a member of the Wilmington Kennel Club and The Hunterdon Hills Kennel Club where she won numerous awards for showing Italian greyhounds. She was a proud member of The Hatpinning Ladies of Hockessin. In her free time, she enjoyed spending her summers at her beach house in Ocean City, Maryland, traveling, watching horse racing and spending quality time with her many friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Americo P. Renzi (Elmer) and grandson Americo M. Meredith (Eric).  She is survived by her loving daughter, Doriane K. Renzi, grandaughters, Nicole Wonneman, her husband, Aaron, Shelby Bell, her husband, Daniel, brother, Captain William F. Duncan, Jr., his wife, Patricia, great granddaughters, Gianna Meredith, Cora Wonneman, and Mabel Bell along with extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont St., Wilmington, DE. 19805.  A visitation will be held prior to mass from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at church. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Little Sisters of The Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.

Funeral Services
