Constance Lorraine Oatley, age 78, of Panama City Beach, FL and formerly of Claymont, DE and Galena, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by her devoted husband, daughters Sandy and Nancy, and her grandson Andrew on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Covenant Care Hospice.
Connie was born in Chester, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Mamczur Fedena. Connie was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and attended the University of Delaware.
Connie was a teacher at St. Mary Magdalen in Wilmington and St. Hedwig’s in Chester. She was the self proprietor of Nostalgia Country Gifts store in Galena, Maryland that she and her husband Richard operated for over 18 years. Nostalgia was a popular gathering spot in Galena, where the smell of potpourri and the old fashioned ambiance was like stepping back in time. Connie was a huge Phillies fan and enjoyed watching all the games and rooting for her team. She loved living by the water and three of her homes were situated at waters edge.
Connie will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 33 years, Richard Oatley; her daughters, Susan Pfeil of New Castle, DE, Sandra Mancuso (Bud) of Richmond, VA, Nancy Seramone (Gary) of Hockessin, DE and Cathleen Oatley of Panama City, FL; her son, Robert Farris (Suzanne) of Galena, MD; three step children Stephen Oatley of Galena, MD, April Gary of Philadelphia, PA, and Tami (Rick) Ator of Dallas, TX; ten grandchildren; Marc, Jonathan, Christy, Samantha, Anthony, Casey, Andrew, Sydni, Scott, and Stephen; a great-granddaughter, Aria; her sister, Elaine Collins of Wilmington, DE; and her brother Joseph Fedena of Glen Mills, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association.
