Clorinda Ann Gehouskey

Clorinda “Lynn” Ann Gehouskey, age 77, Newark, Delaware passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Lynn was born in Wilmington, Delaware daughter of the late Henry Castelline and Mary Barto Castelline. She was a 1965 graduate of Padua Academy and she graduated from the University of Delaware in 1967.

Lynn spent her career with the New Castle County Department of Parks and Recreation, starting as a secretary and retiring 35 years later as a project manager. She was also co-owner of Rainbow Charter Service with her husband from 1982 to 2002, meeting the transportation needs of groups traveling the East Coast.

In retirement, Lynn could be found on the golf course, making memories with her many friends as a member of the Delaware Women’s Golf Association during the summers and at Timber Pines in Spring Hill, FL, where she & Steve resided during the winters.

Lynn’s greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family & friends. Whether traveling the world, skiing the most majestic mountains, enjoying beautiful days at the beach, or entertaining at home, you would be hard-pressed to find her without a smile on her face that could light up any room and make your day immediately better.

Lynn will be so dearly missed by those who knew and loved her, especially those who she is survived by, Stephen Gehouskey, her loving husband of 45 years, her daughter Tracey Maniscalco (Robert) of Glen Mills, PA, step-daughters; Stephanie Benson and Wendy Gehouskey of Tucson, AZ, grandchildren; Kaitlyn and Sophia Maniscalco, Steven Mazon (Crystal), Sean Vaughan and Samantha Benson, great-grandchildren; Luke Mazon, Hayden Vaughan and Madeline Mazon, her brothers; Henry Castelline (Paula) of Tarpon Spring, FL and Kenneth Castelline (Deborah) of Spring Hill, FL, and by her many nieces and nephews.
