Charles Hart

Charles T. Hart, 81 of Wilmington and originally of Springfield, PA died on December 17, 2017. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Albert Jr., Harriet Hart, his brother Albert III., and his nephew Albert Hart IV.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Elissa, brother Brian (Karen) daughters, Linda DeKay (David), Kristin Andreoli (John) and Andrea Seiple and six grandchildren; Casey, John, Spencer, Jacob, Brielle and Abigail. He also leaves his nieces and their families, Carolann, Elizabeth, Denise, Cheryl & Kathleen and a nephew Robert.

His professional career was spent in Structural Steel, Iron Workers Local # 401, Philadelphia and as a Custom Builder in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Delaware. He was always ready to help family, friends, neighbors and his Masonic brothers add a room, remodel a kitchen, bathroom, family room patio or deck. After his retirement, he enjoyed building handicapped accessible ramps for anyone that needed to get in and out of their home.

He was a Master Carpenter and builder extraordinaire. His hobby was carpentry. His most recent project in June was designing a live cherry countertop in his new home. He was a true craftsman who took extreme pride in his accomplishments. He often said I can fix anything but a broken heart.

He was a Master Mason and was Master of Brandywine Lodge # 33, Grand High Priest of Delaware, Illustrious Grand Master of Royal and Select Masons of Delaware, Eminent Grand Commander of Knights Templar of Delaware. He was a member of Delaware Council. Blue Hen Council, Royal Arch Mariners, Keystone Council, Joshua Association, Jesse Green Priory, KYCH, Red Cross of Constantine & the Order of Purple Cross.

He is grateful for his 50-year Masonic career as it was very challenging and fulfilling. He and Elissa traveled extensively all over the US, Canada, Mexico & Hawaii.
