    John Amalfitano writes,
This is such a huge - and unexpected - loss. Fitz was one of my favorite people. I always enjoyed his perpetual low-key approach to everything but always matched with a lively and ornery conversation. I will miss you enormously, my friend. I always thought there would be more years ahead. Godspeed. John Amalfitano

There are just certain people in the world who make it better. John, you and Fitz always met me with a kind smile and good words. These are the things people remember when reflecting on the past. I send sympathy for your loss and know that he is at rest now and will be remembered with a chuckle. God bless you and yours.

    George Quillivan writes,
This brief poem below reflects the way I would like to be remembered. The Quillivan-Fitzpatrick Family is sorely missing a valued member this day. Rest-In-Peace cousin! If I should die before the rest of you, Break not a flower nor inscribe a stone. Nor, when I’m gone, speak in a Sunday voice, But be the usual selves that I have known. Weep if you must, Parting is hell. But life goes on, So… sing as well.           - Joyce Grenfell, British actress and writer (1910 – 1979)

    Linda L Marks writes,
I proclaimed Fitz “The Mayor “ of 1401 many years ago and he truly served the residents. Fitz was employed at the front desk for several years. He knew everyone and everything about the 1401 residents in the building. If you wanted to know about anything...Ask “The Mayor”. Even after his employment at the front desk, “The Mayor “ continued to serve. He was quite visible in the main lobby and sometimes sitting behind the front desk greeting the residents and guests as they entered 1401. I already miss you “Mr Mayor “ however your term is not up! I gave you that title and I know you are still watching over all of us at 1401. You will always be our Mayor. Blessings To The Family Linda L Marks
