Carol Ann Kelly

Carol Ann Kelly, age 59, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at home in Wilmington, DE.

 She was born on May 25, 1958 to Eileen and Alyn Buckley. Graduating from Brandywine High School in 1976, Carol remained local to North Wilmington her entire life. Carol’s four children and seven grandchildren were the light of her life. She was deeply passionate about photography and had a profound love for the beauty of the Brandywine Valley. Aside from being with her grandchildren, some of Carol’s favorite moments were spent in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, where she went every summer since she was a little girl. She loved to photograph subjects in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. She also enjoyed listening to music, gardening and taking care of her family. Carol’s first job as a young girl was to work for her father, Alyn, at Buckley’s Tavern in Centerville. She went on to work for pharmaceutical, technology, real estate and retail companies.

 She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ken Kelly; four children, Caroline (Michael) Davis, Ryan (Cherie) Murray, Laura (Will) Miracle and John (Tricia) Kelly; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Quinn, Brody, Raegan, Owen, Garhett, and Vivienne; her mother, Eileen Buckley; and two sisters, Diane Poole and Jean (David) Autman; a niece, Lauren Poole and a nephew, Dathan (Kelly) Poole. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Alyn and sister, Susan.
