Anna C. Hoover

Anna C. Hoover, age 104, of Hockessin, DE, died at home on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Wonderfully outgoing, Anna worked as an elementary and middle-school teacher in Springfield, Delaware County, PA.  She loved the outdoors, her church, and most of all, her family.  Anna met her husband in Johnstown, PA.  They married in 1942 and quickly discovered a mutual love of hiking, camping, and church activities.  Anna and Charles sang in the church choir and enjoyed family vacations, especially in the mountains of the Northeast.  In retirement, the couple traveled the world and often shared with others photos and stories of their experiences.

Preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Charles S. Hoover, and her daughter Alberta Berry, Anna is survived by three children: Charles F. Hoover, Kathryn Seltzer, and Margaret Schuchardt; six grandchildren: Douglas, Steven, David, Michael, Shannon, and Chad; and nine great-grandchildren: Daniel, Eric, Robert, Chad, Olivia, Nina, Albert, George, and Ayden.
