Ellen Fitzgerald

Ellen Fitzgerald (nee Rutter) passed away peacefully on Saturday, the eleventh of June, 2022. She was born in 1925 in Wilmington, DE. Ellen was married to Bill Fitzgerald until his passing in 1991. Reading, traveling, walking and playing cards were her passions.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, her brothers Clifford, Earl, and Harold, and her sister Marion.

Ellen is survived by her daughters Janet and Lois, her son Bill and his wife Anggun, her stepson James and his wife Elaine, her brother Lee, grandchildren Becca, Courtney, Bill, Ian, Amy, Jill, Brian and Sean and eleven great grandchildren.

A  visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10-11:00 am at Chandler Funeral Home on Concord Pike in Wilmington, DE followed by a private burial service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Ellen’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
