Peter Anthony DiDio

Peter Anthony DiDio, age 64, of Claymont, DE., formerly of Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.

Peter was born in Chester, PA., son of the late Nazzerino and Annuciata Barbato DiDio. He graduated from St. James High School in 1975. He earned his associates degree from Brandywine College in 1977.

Simply put, Pete was a chef. He worked for 20 years as a sous chef for the Concordville Inn in Concordville, PA and then he worked as a chef for 24 years at the Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals.

He was a member of the Kirkwood Fitness Club, one of its original members.

Pete is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Pamela Abramowicz DiDio, his daughter, Gabriella Mary DiDio of Seattle, Washington, his son, Blaise G. DiDio of Wilmington, Delaware and a sister Nancy Seaman, a nephew and many cousins.

Funeral services are being planned for a future date.

As Pete would express his love and concern with food, the family has requested donations be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, C/O Church of The Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19810, attn: Sr. Ann Hughes, SSJ.
