Nancy, so sorry for your loss. For those of us who seldom saw Howard, he is still there carrying on conversations with Steve at coffee mornings. I recall presenting you both with a map showing where a star was named for you when you joined us in Atlanta 20 years ago. So many memories you have of life together, we can only hope for so many for ourselves.

Although we only met Mr. Horne once or twice, we had a fairly long visit, and he left a wonderful impression on us. we are so sorry for your loss, but he will remain an inspiration to many, and hopefully , to his little great greandsons, henry wanmke. My condolence is tempered with gratitude. Howard encouraged many others to accept and to grow in state and national leadership positions. His positive example inspired others to be good stewards of our heritage of freedom, respect, and commitment. Kay and I send our love to Nancy, who made everyone feel welcome, whether at home in Wilmington or at events and airports in Louisville, Washington, Paris, London, and Germany. We remember happily the SAR trip through France with Howard and Nancy in 2000. One era has ended, but Howard and Nancy have prepared successors to lead in a new era.

So Sorry Chip to hear about your father's passing. His obituary reflected a fascinating life what with serving in the OSS (the forerunner of the CIA) in WW II, and in counter-intelligence during the Korean War. Since he worked for DuPont, I wonder if he knew Paul there. I also remember that he apparently also worked for DuPont in Ireland since you mentioned you grew up in that nation. Again, Chip, I extend my sympathy to you, and your brother, as well as your mother.
