Diane Marie Frechette

Diane Marie Frechette, age 78, of New Castle, DE, departed peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024, surrounded by her children.

Originally from Lawrence, Massachusetts, Diane was the beloved daughter of Herve and Anne Boucher. Instilled by her parents, Diane became a lifelong advocate of learning and listening. Starting with earning her degree from Lowell State College,

Diane was at various times throughout her life an educator, accountant and medical administrator. Seeking to help others, Diane worked with various charitable groups as well as starting a bereavement group at her church. That love of learning extended to a passion for arts and crafts and languages. A strong, compassionate woman who raised two children alone after the death of the love of her life, Richard Frechette, Diane was the person you came to for advice and comfort, always willing to lend an ear or provide a helping hand.

Nothing was more important to her than loving and caring for her family. She is survived by her children, Chris Frechette (Ann) and Paula Kelly (Michael) and grandchildren, Richard, Anthony and Kevin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, Delaware.
