Clara S. Murray passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. Born in 1932, Claire grew up in Wilmington, DE and Mendenhall, PA, and graduated from Wilmington Friends School and Lesell College. She was a member of Christ Church Christiana Hundred.
When she was not busy raising her three children, Claire was employed by the Delaware Art Museum and The Brandywine Conservancy. She also enjoyed volunteering for several organizations in the area.
Claire is predeceased by her husband F. Key Murray, son Jackson Marvel and granddaughter Sarah K. Marvel. She is survived by her son Edward B. S. Marvel, daughter Stephanie M. Grant (Scott), and grandchildren Elizabeth and James Grant.
Her love of art translated into everything she did, whether it was painting, decorating or floral arranging, it was done with flair. Most of all Claire loved a good party with good company!
A service for Claire will be held at a future date.
