Charles G. Oertel

Charles (Chuck) Oertel passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024.  Chuck was born in Wausau, WI in 1933. He was the son of Oscar and Ilma Oertel. He attended Wausau High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin.  After that he went on to pursue a career in Sales & Marketing with Hercules, Inc. and Himont, Inc in Wilmington, DE.

Chuck had many interests. He loved flying his airplane, playing tennis, platform tennis, golf, and pickleball.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Oertel, daughters Margaret Oertel, Linda Rhodes (Charles), and grandson Michael Rhodes.
