Linda Teachey Watjen

Linda Teachey Watjen, age 63, of Hockessin, Delaware, passed away on January 21, 2024. She was born in 1960. Linda, a Financial Advisor and Planner, also pursued her passion as a Pickleball Professional at the duPont Country Club.

Linda graduated from Alexis I. duPont High School and furthered her education at the University of Delaware. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and pickleball in her leisure time. An outdoor person she loved sharing her love of sports and teaching others.

She is survived by her brother, David Watjen, and was preceded in death by John W. Watjen and Carolyn T. Watjen.

Linda was loved by her family and friends. Linda’s big heart made a special difference with all she knew. Linda was best known for her work with the Delaware Humane Association. Her love of animals was reflected by her love of her and any furry creatures. She would go to great lengths to find homes for all animals especially cats and dogs.  We are all better people due to having Linda in our lives.

Linda was a generous and caring friend. We loved our gatherings with Linda and Carolyn. We met at the Chadds Ford Art Show ten years ago and were immediate friends. She was so proud of her mother and David and loved her family so much. We had many happy times and I will miss her . Sending love and sympathy ❤️‍🩹.

Linda. as I knew her, was so very kind and gentle-she adored her animals and friends and family and was never embarressed to show it, which is an admirable trait so many lack. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a loving presence who will glow in the memories of all. Sending love and sympathy to her family.
