    Krysti Lober writes,
My heart is broken for Katie, the Burslem family and all friends of Katie’s. Katie and I grew up together due to our families being close in proximity and from their friendships. A lot of my core memories come from the times we shared at the Burslem home. Playing hours of Barbie’s in her basement, being teammates on little league softball games… where we mostly talked and wondered if we were gonna get ice cream or cookies after… we messaged on AIM for hours, ate raw pasta, held concerts for just us to perform and we both always were excited for that time of year when Nana’s purple decorated Christmas tree came out. I have so many memories with Katie but I vividly remember a time where I wondered why she loved tomatoes so much. We were sitting in her kitchen at the table eating some snacks and she dipped her little tomatoes into ketchup…And if we had breakfast she always had ketchup with her eggs and sometimes even dipped her chips in ketchup. Just something silly that reminds me of her. Katie had a one of a kind personality. I always admired how she was always able to be incredibly bubbly. Katie was one of my best friends growing up and as time went on we drifted apart, but we would reach out to reach other every now and then. Any conversation I had with Katie felt like no time had passed, and I would get taken back to hanging out in her basement. She always made you feel welcome and loved, and this was probably due to her amazing heart and her incredible family. Whenever I was at the Burslem home I felt like I was apart of the family. Katie Nicole Burslem you are loved and you will never be forgotten. I will think of you often and always be grateful for the times we shared together. I love you.
