Jeffrey Boardman Lund

Jeffrey Boardman Lund, age 63 passed away at home on April 18, 2023 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jeff was born on February 6, 1959 to Janet and John Lund in Waynesboro, Virginia and graduated from AI DuPont HS and Delaware Technical and Community College.

Jeff retired from Farmers Insurance in 2020 after he was diagnosed, in that time he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his loving companion Kathy Wheatley.

Jeff delighted in helping friends and family – his talents were endless. Jeff loved to dine out and was considered part of the family at Okura and the Mexican Table. Jeff enjoyed traveling, music especially the Grateful Dead and OAR, fishing, riding his Harley with friends, and supporting the Republican Party.

Condolences

    Sharon Lund writes,
Dad, you were a great man. We definitely had our times being at odds, but when it came to the hardest of times, we had each others backs. I wish we had more time together… I wish we all had more time with you… since you can’t be in our physical presence any longer Pops, your wise words will have to hold presence in our minds. At least I know they will always ring loud in my head. You were always offering me suggestions for improving myself or doing things a better way. I listened…. Just didn’t always follow through. I wish I did more, now. One thing that will stick out the most to me always in my mind. When I did a good job or would accomplish something great, you’d quote my old favorite Nintendo game (The Simpson), and say “Good job, Young Simpson!” (Homer said it to Bart … of course). That was your way of telling me you were super proud. 🥹 I’m gonna miss you so much Dad. Your legacy lives on in so many ways! Hope you are finally able to get good rest… Love always, Your oldest daughter

Laur Moloney lit a candle and writes,
Jeff was a dear friend of mine and I will miss him whole heartedly. The times we shared going to music events together and just 'hanging out' will forever hold a special place in my memory. He loved all his friends and his daughters with his gentle nature and his tender ways, I will miss him immensely. My world is a better place having known Jeff.
